Sitting in the Grass and Weeds
Sitting in the Grass and Weeds was constructed with an old glider chair. The seat and cushion covers had floral prints, which I fully covered with artificial flowers and leaves, and growing grasses and plants. The chair and ottoman served as a garden, sliced open and filled with dirt and growing seeds. Our furniture and decorations consistently depict flora motifs, while we live in our sanitized homes, free from natural mediums. The chair reveals how different real and faux plants are; the growing grasses need constant attention, while the faux flowers and leaves never die. Spring 2018
